Hammocks Do Rock
One of the best purchases we have made for our camping outings is our hammocks. We haven’t been able to use them on every single trip though, because we need trees to hang them. Something that isn’t so plentiful in the desert. As you can see here, they are fabric hammocks and we hung them from the sun shade that was provided at the campsite.

One thing we would like to get is a hammock stand. They would work okay for car camping, but not so well if we were backpacking in somewhere. There are so many different types of hammocks on the market to choose from, and you can read all about these different types at HammocksRock.

We are two people who love to go camping and hiking. We love the outdoors, and we are working on becoming as green as we can be.

April 30, 2007 @ 8:41 pmThat looks so comfortable to have a hammock. I have been thinking about buying one to lounge in. Now I might have to make that purchase.

May 2, 2007 @ 10:23 pmanytime you can use a hammock camping, you know it is a good trip. I usually go in Southern Utah and sometimes it is hard to find things that will hold my weight… so I understand that it can not be used everytime

May 2, 2007 @ 11:30 pmlast sunday when i was up for dinner, i swung in the hammock at my parents house. it was so nice. i’ve always said that the three things you need when you get a house are a really good bbq grill, a jetted tub and a hammock! that’ll be at the top of my list when i get a house (and out of my condo lol)

May 10, 2007 @ 8:57 pmHammocks are heaven. I slept in one almost every night for 3 months when I lived in Puerto Rico. I had a bed but the hammock was great.
